My dear friend Kristi, known by the alias "Marie" amongst her Bostonian rabble, does awesome alternative art that involves melting vinyl records into rudimentary lampshades and constructing a base from the album art. On my visit this past weekend, I bought a lamp made from the Eric Clapton album "Slowhand". It is awesome. Check out (and buy if you're so inclined) her work on her website.
